This is a freeware application that takes and displays a Color Picker in which you pick your colors it then takes and converts it to the format used in the Body tags in HTML version 3. It will then optionally transfer it to the clipboard so that you can easily place it in the HTML file you are working on. This is a must have for everybody that works with HTML 3 pages in raw HTML format.

I often come across a web page and say, "Wow..How did they do that?" Most of these "neat-o" pages utilize
the many extensions (and sometimes bugs) of Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Today, the
greatest looking pages push HTML to its ever-diminishing limits. I have seen bits and pieces of information about HTML tips and tricks, but no comprehensive listing of all of them. So, I'm making an attempt here.
Like print media, web pages have one core purpose: to convey information. If you don't have anything to say to the world, why bother learning HTML at all? Though content is truly the most important part of any page, pages are initially judged by aesthetics alone (the first impression). The content is up to you, but perhaps I can help with the aesthetics.
There are two parts to a web page: the HTML and the graphics. The first section of this guide will focus on the graphics, while the second section goes more in-depth with some tips and tricks of HTML.

This HTML Beginner's Guide assumes that you have no previous knowledge of HTML or CSS. It should be quite easy to follow if you work through each step, which are all brought together at the end, before moving on to the CSS Beginner's Guide. The thing to keep in mind is that HTML and CSS are all about separating the content (HTML) and the presentation (CSS). HTML is nothing more than fancy structured content and the formatting of that content will come later when we tackle CSS. If you have looked at other HTML tutorials, you may find that they mention certain things that HTML Dog does not. This is because many methods are obsolete, non-standard or just plain bad practice. Getting into the frame of mind of doing things the RIGHT way from the start will turn in to much better results in the end.
