FreeDOS is ideal for anyone who wants to bundle a version of DOS without having to pay a royalty for use of DOS. FreeDOS will also work on old hardware, in DOS emulators, and in embedded systems. TSX-32 is a general purpose multi-user multi-tasking OS with real-time facilities for the X86 platform.  Use it as an Internet server or as a development platform for your own custom applications. This is a commercial operating system with costs on the high side, but still cheaper than some other 32-bit operating systems.
