APHASIA Ron was 45 when he had a stroke, which affected his right arm, right leg and his speech. Prior to his stroke he worked at Dual Machines for 18 years. He uses a communication book, writing and drawing to help him communicate. Ron uses a Scooter to get around Acton and spends a lot of time on his computer to chat with friends and surf the net!

Please forgive me if I am repeating myself...I am not the best with computers. I sat down and typed an extremely long note about my son and it was either erased or sent to you when I was trying to apologize for rambling on and on (typing too much & making the comment far too long that I ran out of room). Sorry. In case you didn't get it, I'll try to be short and direct.
My son has been Type I diabetic for 12 years. He was diagnosed at age 17. He has always been in denial and never would take care of it. For the past 12 yrs. he has gone days and weeks without his insulin, abused food, alcohol, and drugs. Would not go to the doctors and etc..
Now at age 29 he has truly straightened his life out and is taking care. But, has no income and no insurance. I know he needs to see a specialist and get any number of tests. Who and where is there help paying for these things????
I do not want to lose my son - he has a 2 and a half yr. old son who really needs him now. Can you help?

My mother has been living with diabeties since 1995. She has followed all drs orders. She is now on the pump. She works full time because she needs the medical ins. She is 62 yrs old. Has osteoperosus, carpal tunnel, and other medical problems. Recently her insurance plan changed and now she is going to have to pay for her diabetic supplies, and her copays went from 20.00 to 30.00, she is on a fixed income as it is, and now with all of her prescriptions she is going to have to pay more for, she is not going to be able to survive. I have heard of companies that help with diabetic supplies and medications for seniors, but don't know how to find them. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

I am Byalik Oleg , date of birth 1964 , pssport No 313690364 , repatriated to Israel in March 1999 with my family from Ukraine(Kiev). However on 28 of September 2000 my wife Bialik Alla left me with with child and went to other man in Kiev. She robbed me and my child , took money from personal savings , left us with our debts and went out Israel. Ten years I have suffered from diabetes (diabetes mellitus type II) , I got three injection of insulin per day . After the endured stress I find myself in hospital with diagnosis : diabetic ketoacidosis (hiperlipidemia). I am 65% Physicaly Inable. In situation , I found myself , I was never. We have no relatives and friends in Israel. I shall struggle for our with my child surviving till the last breth. But at present moment I am not imagining how I and my child can go out of this financial bankruptcy. My money that I get from Bituah Leumi were cut to 2163 shekels for month.Now it's even not enough to buy food and pay taxes. Because of my Physical inability I can not work. Have been an insulin dependent diabetic for thirty years, diagnosed with charcot foot last year, had never heard of it before, just come out of foot cast and now wearing special boots, not very flattering though. Am only 48 but feel 68 sometimes! so many questions eg. can I go swimming and do regular exercise, will i ever wear "pretty" shoes again. Can't find a website for charcot in uk hope you dont mind me passing through.
