I have an 11yr old son with type one diabeties. He developed diabeties at the age of seven. He has had several emotional break-downs about his diabeties. The doctor suggested theapy. I inquired about a juvenile support group in my area however, I came up empty handed. I have decided to develop a juvenile diabeties support group in my town so other children can get together and talk about their feelings to one another and know that they are not alone. They will be able to make friends with other diabetics and if they want to spend the night at their new friends house parents do not have to worry because they will know that those parents know how to treat high and low blood sugars. thank you Tyler's mom

I am a tyep 2 diabtic I am divorced and can't work as my back will let me stand more then 30 min. I can't afford to go to the doctor anymore are buy my testing supplies when my husband left he got rid of my meater and all. I like this site, as I , too, have Charcot Joint Disease. and have been interested in being able to communicate with people that have the same thing. I have had many operations which has been difficult on me. It has been a long 6 or 7 years of problems. I always enjoyed travelling in the states, Canada and in Europe on tours, and have had difficult problems getting someone to now travel with me, due to my being in a wheelchair, and tours don't allow electric scotters or chairs without a companion. It is totally hard to find the right people to go along. I have wanted to find a group of Charcot Joint people to chat with or e-mail to find out what they experience and do on behalf of this disease, and interested in finding out if there is any support groups around this part of the USA. Again, I did like your site and would be glad to hear from you, if you find this response. Elise

Im tired of this disease. Im tired of all the crap that goes along with it. I want it out of me right now. There is a cure they just wont let us have it. I'm a diet-controlled type 2 diabetic for about 9 months. I have particular difficulty in understanding the sugar content of fruit. Is fructose OK? I have plenty of info on proportions of 'sugar' in different fruits, but so far, no breakdown by types of sugar. Apples and pears I understand contain predominantly fructose, are there any others? How many fruits per day can I safely eat? etc etc. it goes on and on!
