Pharmaceuticals, Inc., announced today it has formed an alliance with Rite Aid Corporation in a shared effort to improve the level of care of people with diabetes. Under the agreement, Rite Aid has named the Novo Nordisk comprehensive line of insulin formulations and delivery systems as the preferred insulin products at all Rite Aid stores. In addition, 150 Rite Aid pharmacists designated as diabetes specialists have participated in education for insulin-using diabetic patients to help improve compliance with their treatment regimens.
